A Holiday On The Town Poem by Marilyn Lott

A Holiday On The Town

Rating: 5.0

We went on just the coolest jaunt
Around the town, you know
We found some terrific places
I thought you might like to know

This time of year with trees so bare
We need things bright with cheer
But of, course, we were all wearing smiles
‘Cause it’s a wonderful time of year

Everything looked so festive
Buildings with all the right colors
Santa Claus all furry and red
For all the kids and their mothers

Look, an old-fashioned Christmas scene
See, you never know what you’ll find
We’ll probably stop for lunch
‘Cause food is always on our minds

So get your friends together, folks
Find some special things to do
On this happy Christmas season
We might even run into you!
