A Heart's Enduring Journey For Hope Poem by James Darwin Smith II

A Heart's Enduring Journey For Hope

Immobile heart
Upon a distant love
Formidable to this once lost hope
In a hindering wrong senses
Towards a happily earnest retreat
The effort of a longing dream ahead

Stuck beating alone
Pumping in helpless motions
Romantic notions
Needs to be supreme
As hopeless as it once seemed
All can be nearer than once thought

Trying to express its self
So sickened by past rejection
Once spoken so strong to other heart’s dialect
Does it persist to another’s request?

Through hidden messages, and subliminal tests
An effort must prevail before all else fails
Removing the veil of fear
Going beyond this hidden self
Letting these feelings go loose
So all these troubles of this event can be rectified

It is I who must tell my heart’s consent
In a mindful awakenings blessing
No more feeling hopeless and distressed
All this love shall soon come to fruition

Immobile heart
Shall flow like never before
Beating to the music of love
Heart shaped notes
Coming together as one

Upon a mobile journey
This heart shall find what it is looking for
As the map is written within this soul
Directing me where I need to go

To the honor of love
My hope, dreams and ambitions
Will always continue to grow

Through it all
The good, the bad, The Ugly, the great
In every aspect of love
My heart will always have room to roam
