A Guest Poem by Invalid Files

A Guest

A nameless guest,
'Do take a seat, make yourself comfortable,
Would you like a tea,
Perhaps with milk and sugar? '

Letting a smile etch on my lips,
Ever so slowly,
Stitching its way ever so painfully,
A smile deforms into a smirk,

The monotonous harmony of
Time and space,
Left and right,
Life and death,

You must be hungry,
Hungry for change,
Isn't that the reason
Why you came here today?

Your eyes flicker as I pour your drink,
Slip a dropp of poison sweet,
My eyes catch yours,
With a twinkle of death,

A clink of china,
'Here you go, '
Bring it to your lips,
And forget all sanity
