A guerra (in Portuguese)

aqui o mundo se envolve.
mas o que eu verifico
a guerra nada resolve
so fica o rico mais rico

podem morrer la na frente
mas sao os altos senhores
mas os que morrem sao gente
nao sao os gladiadores

herois sao logo ao morrer
mas nao se lembram quando um cai
quem tem filhos tem mulher
e tem uma mae e um pai

quem tem amor podem crer
o fazer bem os domina
so pensado bem fazer
como isige a lei divina

Poem of the Day

poet Dante Gabriel Rossetti

A little while a little love
The hour yet bears for thee and me
Who have not drawn the veil to see
If still our heaven be lit above.
Thou merely, at the day's last sigh,
