A great
and terrible
beauty
is in
your
eyes...
It will scorch
and transform
me
if I
get
too close...
So, I keep
myself
at a distance,
until
you grow
tired,
and find
someone
else
to love.
This is quite an outstanding poem, Shermaine. Though brief, it is very expressive and quite well written with no silly grammar or spelling mistakes that so many younger poets seem to make. It is very expressive and philosophic, too, and displays a fine writing talent. Carl.
