A Gift For No Reason

A Gift For No Reason

A gift of no purpose, no agenda is needed,
As a welcomed diversion to thwart vulgar demons.
Expense has no influence on Saints & Sinners,
As I hear the tap, tapping at my door to find welcome.
I carry childish hope and a woman's delight,
To open and ogle and forget the night's frights.
It is unspoken between us, by my choice, so you see,
To tell you much more than you already see.
You will never encounter guile on my part,
For this letter was written by my own, true heart.
I need not diamonds nor emeralds you see,
Just a diversion to keep my heart free.
