A Gentle Heart Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

A Gentle Heart

Rating: 5.0

A flowing brook is consciously
punctuated by nature’s art
Lovely wild roses unpretentiously
take hold of a gentle heart

A softly scented breeze captivates
the senses of a young lover’s heart
Thoughts of his beloved illuminate
beyond the glow that the sun imparts

With a tender touch he caresses
the fragile petals, then lightly kisses…
Turning away with wisdom that blesses
His gentle aging heart fondly reminisces

Touchingly sweet and tender. No matter the age or the wisdom, we all still appreciate love and tenderness. Nice piece, Teresa. Linda :)
