A Friend Lost Hope Poem by John Dillenger II

A Friend Lost Hope

Take heart in your dreams my dear
The pains hard to bear I know
But do not submit to the fear
You can pull your pain in tow
It cannot win so long as you fight
And your heart is true this day
You must watch to see the light
Though it seems to have gone away
It is near, if you can see
So do not let the pain blind
It is near, though pain my be
Without the search you cannot find
This will pass from your way
The sunshine passes through
The pain of self will decay
Trust me that this is true
If ever you need a friend
I'll be waiting patiently
I'll be here for you, till the end
Though I too am lost occassionally
