A Friend Poem by pouya rezanejad

A Friend

Rating: 5.0

It's not your fault that
I'm stuck in the rain
with clouds in my mind
and thundering pain

It's not your fault that
my heart is torn
ripped up like paper
since the day I was born

It's not your fault that
I'm wasting away
like crumpled leaves standing
in winter's day

But it's your fault for
not diving in
I'm drowning in oceans and
you know I can't swim
