A Flame Burning At Heart Poem by Theresa Short

A Flame Burning At Heart

Rating: 4.5

A flame burning at my heart,
For did we really have to part,
I still love you with me whole,
You were the first guy that stole,
my heart with 3 little words,
But then it flew away like birds,
Flying for winter to the south,
I would love to always kiss you on the mouth,
Your lips so soft and kisses that melt my stress away,
Please don't go. Stay.
I need you here with me to help me through the bad,
This is very sad,
The flame is to burn my heart away,
So I don't have to live this way.

Love a spiritual experience is whimsical and temperamental, it comes when it pleases and makes its departure without warning. When it's gone do not spend time worrying as distress will not bring it back. It's a lovely poem, well articulated and nicely penned from the heart. Thanks for sharing.
