A Fight Against Your Heart Poem by Esther Hadassah Sendeza

A Fight Against Your Heart

You are worthy of an extraordinary love.

When it feels wrong, get out.
When it doesn't feel like home, let go.
When you are miserable, go on your way.
When it is no longer real, leave it behind.

When that love no longer serves you,
when that love is not reciprocated,
When it feels forced,
Or it goes on and off like the street lights,
when it becomes non existent,
Let it go.

Letting go has never been easy.
This will be an inner battle,
Against your very own heart.
But once you are on the other side,
You will thank yourself for letting go.
