A Doubt In My Heart Poem by Esther Hadassah Sendeza

A Doubt In My Heart

When you held my hand
And looked at me,
I doubted in my heart,
As I looked back at you.

You said the sweetest of things,
And said I'd be your world.
I doubted in my heart,
And said nothing to you.

So everyday I thought,
About this feeling in my gut.
And as summer ended and winter came,
I finally saw, what you were really about.
