A Death's New Beginning Poem by Michelle Dickson

A Death's New Beginning

Bet you didn’t see this coming
Bet you didn’t see this at all
Cause you were too blinded to see me fall

I fell right in front of you
But all of you were too blind to see
That I no longer want to be

I’m sorry if this causes you grief
I’m sorry for all of this
But I’m not sorry to finally be in bliss

A blissful end to this life
A blissful end to my strife
At the end of this knife

You’ll be happy
Just wait and see
I’ll be watching over thee

When you feel the wind
That is me
Pointing you in the direction you need to be

When you feel the rain
That is me
Crying for your pain

When you feel the sun’s rays
That is me
Smiling down upon you

You’ll be happy
Just wait and see
I’ll be watching eternally.
