A Day You Are Not Near Poem by John Hou

A Day You Are Not Near

</>
How should I simply be less afraid
of missing you often yet keep it a secret
like nothing else could be my distraction
it’s a day you have all of my attention

How could I save my mind
from being unable to get it right
that everything seems so strange
to spend the day you are not around

How can I just remain blind
to notice the girl like you in my sight
the moment I realize you are not near
your fragrance is already in the air
