A Cup Of Tea Poem by Paula Glynn

A Cup Of Tea

I love a cup of tea with a magazine and bar of chocolate,
My husband loves to have a cup of tea with his egg and newspaper,
And at work I make tea for all my colleagues,
And regularly have a refresher at lunch,
Tea is then put on the table at dinner time,
And I always have to have a brew of an evening time,
I just love my cups of tea, day and night,
And a cuppa can even soothe fragile nerves after stressful moments,
Where would the British be without our PG Tips, Yorkshire or Tetley tea?
We'd be nowhere: that's where.
I suppose tea is a way of life, the culture of a nation,
Rather like an addiction for people across the world,
And tea is nice: whether on a Sunday morning or on a cold evening,
And is even better than vodka & coke!
I just have to say this: tea you're here to stay.
