A Culmination Poem by Palitha Ranatunge

A Culmination

The boredom has come
At last as expected
Now I can live with an ease
And rest in mind …
I felt and had ecstasies beyond boundaries
Smelling an odour at every short culmination
Undoubtedly it was the sweetest!
The moon is poetic to be seen
The flowers, sea shores and mountain ranges
Are magnificent only at a focusing length,
Birds sing for mating, warning of predators
Or searching for worms or fruits,
Honestly not to fill with us musical melodies?
A Firefly definitely not performing for you?
No palpitations in my heart
Watching you at the wardrobe
The boredom has come at last!
