A Cry For Justice Poem by Qiniso Mogale

A Cry For Justice

Rating: 3.7

A cry for justice
A cry for vengeance
A cry for retribution
A cry for vindication
A cry for exoneration.

A cry for justice
by those falsely accused
A cry for vengeance
by those falsely imprisoned
A cry for retribution
by those abused and raped
A cry for vindication
by those wrongly criticised.

A cry for justice
by babies who have been aborted
A cry for vengeance
by those who have been murdered
A cry for justice
by those sacrificed by ritualists
Their blood cries out for justice
Their blood cries out for vengeance.

I am moved by this poem. It speaks for many groups. The cry of those we allow to be aborted haunts us women. If the babies could seek vengeance, we surely would be tried at the High Court of Heaven. Thanks for making us look into our consciences with these different cries. I can see the world wailing at every corner with a poem like this. Great writing.

A very profound poem, Qiniso. I believe in justice. But sometimes it's really hard to find. You may be interested in my poem, Nicaragua Canada United States Of America. Please let me know what you think of it. Thank you.

Powerful poem, Qiniso. You are right - there is such a thing as justice. You remind me the prophet Habakkuk who cried out because of the injustice. God told him: The vision (of restoration) is for the appointed time. It keeps panting on; it will not tell a lie. It will not be late.
