Every night while lying in bed
My thoughts run to you
Every night when I'm alone
It always make me blue

I wish there was a way
That you and I could try
To reach out for one another
Like travelers across the sky

So many miles between us
But a closeness keeps us near
Just before I close my eyes
It's your voice I wish I'd hear

Hearts can be so fragile
As emotions begin to move in
So many things run through my mind
Like remembering where my heart has been

The times it's been mistreated
The times it was left broken
The times when words of kindness
Were never ever spoken

But you changed all of that
With a heart so warm and true
Maybe that's why every night
My thoughts are all about you
