A Child Poem by Barry Middleton

A Child

Rating: 5.0

wanderer of blue eyes
and silver seeking hair
following a white moth
you will not wonder long
why white wings transform
to green leaves and orange fruit
in a twinkling as the wind shifts
you want neither intoxicant
nor philosophy
nor squirming guesses
but turning your head
to your smiling mother
you laugh
and scan the grass
for newness

Children are so full of curiosity........! They observe Nature and the surroundings with endless curiosity. They never try to bring in any logic to what they see and perceive. They are happy with just a nod of their mothers. They are never tired and continue to watch the world with greater appetite! Beautiful!
