A bottle of wine, and a moonlit night,
A little side table, on the sidewalks side,
Soft gentle music, filters through the air,
The breeze blowing gently, through your auburn hair.
Kisses so sweet, and rose red lips,
Pink blushing cheeks, like the wine we've sipped.
Some crusty bread, and a little cheese,
And the silver moon just made to please.
Dancing around, in the silver light,
Paying no mind to the souls in sight.
Laughing, romancing, lost in a dream,
Watching your eyes, as they gently gleam.
To never awaken, is my desire,
To never extinguish, this burning fire.
To live this one moment, again, and again,
With my lover, my wife, and my very best friend.

The wonderful beauty of romance at night by the sidewalk on a warm or hot evening, all the rare ingredients which make an exquisite enchanted evening. A treasure to find.
This is very touching, Juan. What a lovely, visual tribute to your wife.
Oh! I bet she loved that one, you devil! Very nicely written. So I got mischievous. I put some of those words in a card and gave them to Pirate Girl, you know see if I got lucky. Little demon must of been on your page. Hell to pay for that! p.s. keep the beard, were pirates of love and fast cars!
shave off that silly beard and you might actually look presentable-
This time I am going to leave Claudia Krizay's pathetic comment on my poetry. She needs all the attention she can get. Besides, I am tired of removing her diatribes.
Cute reflection on the love of a woman. She is lucky to have you. Good work Juan Jim
This is the first poem I've read of yours, it's beautiful! I look forward to reading some more x
