A Bluff Poem by Lindemberg Pereira da Silva

A Bluff

Love is a cards game.
Suddenly, life puts all the cards over the table,
And everybody think they are able,
But someone always lose.

Love is a matter of destiny,
Tracing all the ways to an end,
A fire that burns everything around,
An endless search for the infinity.

I bet everything I had for the two of us,
Without thinking about the possibility of losing,
You were all I used to think of,
The only one I had inside my heart.

I bet everything I had for our love,
My heart imprisioned for a handcuff,
But it was all a bluff,
And I lost the game, I lost you.
