A Bit On The Side Poem by Rod Morris

A Bit On The Side

Rating: 4.3

I saw it on the telly, sauce I hadn't tried,
Intrigued by many flavours it was called,
Surprisingly "A Bit On The Side".
So next time I was shopping,
I thought why not give it a trial,
Only had to find it in the saucy aisle.
I spied bottles at a shelf low-down-in-height,
Being stacked by tight-skirted lady in white.
I asked "How much was A Bit On The Side."
With a smile on her face she quickly replied,
Her answer was designed to put me on the spot.
"It depends dear on just how much you've got."

This actually happened to me on a day when I should have thought before I spoke. All was well though.
