.5. What A Hoot Poem by David Threadgold

.5. What A Hoot

Can I help you sir
The salesman inquired
Have you seen what you want?
If not what is required

Do you need something sporty?
Bright red with some dash
Had had an old Porsche
That had been in a crash

I just shook my head
Sir needs something for work
Kept trying and trying
This young selling berk

Why could he not see?
I weren’t there for car buying
But still he persisted
Kept trying and trying

I reached the spares counter
And ordered a hooter
Then told the young salesman
That I ride a scooter
