.5. Unhealthy Poem by David Threadgold

.5. Unhealthy

Who said we needed healthcare
On a scale to suit our nation
Who made us pay our taxes?
To protect each generation

What sort of plan would suit us?
All politicians knew
What made them keep on changing?
To try out something new

Why don’t we have resources?
For treatments ours by right
Why do we study waiting lists?
They manipulate each night

Where has all the money gone?
We all paid to save our health
Where can we go if we are ill?
If we’ve used up all our wealth

When will they bring back matrons?
To sort this dismal mess
We only want what we deserve
A healthy N.H.S.
