3 O'clock Dawn.... Poem by RIC BASTASA

at 3 o clock in the morning
she wakes up, and thinking that
someone is staring at her,
a lost soul perhaps, or a dead
member of the family missing
her,
she shivers in fear.

and then i told her to calm
down, that is not the case,
for the truth of the matter
is that,

it is at 3 o'clock in the morning
when everything is so calm and peaceful,
that God wants to talk to her, and

ergo, she must carefully listen.
It is at this time that God gives
the instruction on what to do with
her life.

and it will surely be a happy one
the following morning.
