203. The Forbidden Fruits Poem by Dipankar Sadhukhan

203. The Forbidden Fruits

Now I am sitting
On the boughs of dream
To find the mysterious flowers of amour.

I will breathe the paradisiacal air
From the leaves of the divine tree.
I will pluck the forbidden fruits
To taste the juice of immortality
And kill the tigrish hunger of my heart.

With the fragrance of the divine blossoms,
With the magical power of the forbidden fruits
I will be empowered
To float over the gloomy clouds of life
And find the sky of poesy.

I will bathe in the showers of poesy
To cleanse the cloth of my soul,
Touched with the sordid hands
Of giants and witches
Of this mundane world.

Then I will conquer the world of joy
With the swords of my love
And be the king of Eternity.

I will spread the fragrance of love and peace
Even in the heart of devil
And dwell forever as a lover of love
In the world of tranquility
Under the sky of eternal love.
