I know I'm the all night drinking, stalking wolf
And I'll happily play out this role
I also know splendour when I see it.
See it?

I may come from a long way off sometimes
But I can spot a giver over a taker, any day
Afterall, I've never pointed a gun.
You listening?

See, it's not only animals that walk out, into the night
[Thank God for the lights that illuminate the streets]
But tonight, you'll rain on anyone who catches your eye
Avoid!

Personally? I know the place
Where your Max Cady persona shines
Feeding on the real stars of the darkness
Who's going to stop the fur and blood from taking wing?
You?
Perhaps you should cool down
Drop it down a little
Give us all the freedom just to move around
Just to live
And I bet the champagne's already on ice!
Remember, it's not really like it is in the movies.
