2. Goodbye, And God Be With You All

Rating: 5.0

Of all the money that I ever had
I've spent it in good company
And all the harm that I've ever done
Alas, it was only ever to me
And all I've done for a chance of wit
To memory now I can't recall
Fill with me another glass
Goodbye and god be with you all

If I had enough money to ever spend
And the leisure time to sit and while
There is a lassie in a farway town
That's surely got my heart beguilled
With her rougey cheeks, ruby lips
Alone she has my heart enthralled
So fill with me another glass
Goodbye and god be with you all

All the friends I've ever had
They're sorry for my going away
And all the lovers I'd chance to meet
They'd wish one more day me stay
But since it happens to be my lot
That I rise and you do not
Fill for me another glass
Goodbye and god be with you all

I enjoyed the sentiments expressed here but the last verse needs a bit of work for it to flow as smoothly as the first two. I struggled to get the meter and verbalisation right.
