084. My Beloved Mother Poem by Dipankar Sadhukhan

084. My Beloved Mother

Rating: 5.0

O my beloved mother, my life!
I ask you humbly and eagerly
Whether I'm your little child -
Your 'little Dip' even today.

Why does my mind always long for
Having the showers of your Love?
Why is my heart thirsty every time
To drink the nectar of your affection?

I still remember my childhood days.
You have nurtured me tirelessly
With your unending Love
And the sweet touch of your affection.

Love, feeling, affection, sympathy -
Everything has gradually entered
My empty but pure heart
And the petals of knowledge have expanded.

With great care and affection
You have taught me walking and talking
And built my character properly.
You have educated me as you wanted.

I have got the lesson from you
How to fight against adversity
It's you who have taught me
How to be a good human being.

Today I am a youth
With mature mind and heart
But like a small baby
My heart longs for getting your proximity.

My soul silently cries
And tears roll down from eyes
As I can't look after you properly.
With my work I am to be very busy.

Your teaching drives me
Towards proper and true way.
Whenever I face any problem,
Your lesson helps me to take a right decision.

O my dearest mother!
I am proud of you
And ever indebted to you.
Take the offerings of flowers of my regards.

I pray to you to bless me
With your unending holy Love
So that I might be a little child
To you, to your heart forever.

May you bless me with your holy Love
So that I can spread your teaching and Love
Over the humanity through my verses,
Being your little child.
