Phoenix Rory Poems

When I'm and old lady
I'll look back down the beach of my life
And see two sets of tracks
...

I am a dancer
A music romancer
An audience entrancer
I steal the show
...

I don't like conformity
I like to be me
And if that's not okay with you
I'm done with it, here's that shoe
...

Just a thought, and then I’m broken
Because of what I haven’t spoken
Words just dropp out of my head
And all my sense seems to have fled
...

The only things I can think
(Besides think)
That rhyme with pink
Are stink
...

Everyone loves a delicacy
And most of all miss dainty me
Who's not so dainty now, I say
There's so many wrappers to throw away
...

Look at that her with the shy smile
The one you say has all the style
Red hair, big baby blues
If she wanted a guy she could choose
...

I clothe myself in darkness
I picked blackness for its starkness
And many a spidery metaphor
Being mysterious isn't a chore
...

A date you said
So a date it will be
But I won't glory in the red
Roses, so not me
...

Phoenix Rory Biography

My parents named me after the place where we live. Isn't that lame? (Not to mention embarrassing.) Anyway, I'm 15 and I love to read and play the clarinet. I just started writing poetry recently. I hope you enjoy it!)

Footprints And Pawprints

When I'm and old lady
I'll look back down the beach of my life
And see two sets of tracks

One set will be mine
Plodding along through the dreary cycle
Living my life the best way I know

The other will be from my pet
Dog or cat or something else
Always walking beside me

Or that's what I think
Until I see the times I was led off the path
By a happy pet hoping to rekindle my joy
