Life, Love, And Loss

As I wander through this life,
filled with wonder, love, and strife.
I find myself alone and afraid,
as if somehow I lost my way.

The path I follow isn't easy,
alone, afraid, and somehow dizzy.
Will love ever cross my path,
or am I doomed by cupids wrath?

My heart aches for true loves embrace,
inside, reserved, a special place,
for the one I will hold dear.
How will I know if she is near?

And still this path I must follow,
feeling empty, feeling hollow.
My life is mine, forever more,
even though living is a chore.

The soul I have is torn to shreds,
existence similar to dead.
Life is empty, romance passed,
and found no love at long last.

You left me empty, void inside,
and all the tears that I have cried,
could never heal this pain you gave.
Racking sobs came on in waves.

And so I exist, an empty shell,
bound on earth in living hell.
My misery will know no bounds,
for I have lost what can't be found.
