Paul Barrowman Poems

I walk the forest valley early in the dawn, thick fog surrounds me. With each step I take, my feet clean the wild grass from the ornaments of dew.

Turning, I see my bright prints overtaken by the enduring mist. The sprawling branches of the thicket pierce through the fog like the bones of wrecked vessels on uncharted shores. I walk the dampend ground to a beaten path, not made under the trampled foot of men, Here I kneel and observe. The grass and its royal crown, once adorned with diamonds is now enlayden with stones of ruby, the life blood of all.

Line In The Sand

A limp wrist never built a house so the time for passivity is over. When you get right down to the basics, right is right and wrong is wrong, Stand on one side or the other. if you don't know, sooner or later you will. Listen to the old and wise, but don't listen because they are old, the old have fools as well. Do you hear what is easy and fits you best? Or do you hear what's is difficult and what few can achieve. Draw a line in the sand and say this is what I stand for. Evil hides and only exposes its self when it is poised to attack. Stand unaffected and cut it down with the sword of truth.
