Florida Still Morning

The din of my previous life in the city
fades into memory
the graceful s-shaped necks of the herons and egrets
standing sentinel
reflect in the glassy surface of the lagoon
undisturbed by nary a ripple
the tropical clouds rise dramatically in the distance
mimicing the mighty Himalayas
the stillness seeps into the Soul
Peace resides here
In the Florida still morning....
