Too many wars to scream and shout
A public made careless by television pictures
Not worried by what they witness

You sit stock still and wonder why

On dark hill, in moonlight
A lone stranger struggles through the night
With hopes dashed and dreams torn asunder
Though dark flowers he slowly wanders

Turning slowly, yet hanging on
The stray thought that twists in the breeze
Where it comes from or where it goes
Is all for you to decide as nobody else knows

When you speak to me I always listen
Not always by choice
But moved by the power In your voice
The things that you tell me

The number of evils that reside in man
Can not be measured on just one hand
I see a world so full of fakes
Devoid of love

Colours bright or colours faded
All the fans are sure to be waving
As a new kick off time approaches
Dust of shirts get onto coaches
