The Holy Ghost

The Holy Ghost is like a friend who’s never far away.
The Holy Ghost is like a guide who won’t lead us astray.
The Holy Ghost is one with God. He’ll help us every day.
The Holy Ghost is our compass; He’s there to show the way.¬¬¬

The Holy Ghost is always there, he waits for us to hear.
The gentle tones of inspiration; he’s always whispering, always near.

The Holy Ghost speaks to our minds; his voice speaks in our ears.
We feel his presence all around us, he understands our fears.

The Holy Ghost wants to protect us from the world of sin.
He cannot force us to submit, His voice comes from within.

The Holy Ghost is not a bully; he’s not one to subdue.
His presence will only stay; if he gets any listening out of you

If not, he pulls away from us. Discouraged, but resolved;
To remind us who we really are; to show us that we’re loved.

The Holy Ghost is there for us through all the storms of life;
If we remember to repent, when we give in to strife.

The Holy Ghost will not leave, if we work hard to obey;
The covenants we made with him on our baptism day.

The Holy Ghost is a privilege we earn when we accept
Jesus Christ; our Lord and Savior, that for us he paid the debt.

That’s all we have to do to keep the spirit close at hand
To hear his voice, and feel his mind, as he helps us understand.

If we choose the better path, he’ll be our constant companion
He will guide us and direct us with Jesus as our champion.
