I don't do smooth
I am hot and I am cold

There was a time that all I needed to survive was your arms around me.<br>
You were the anchor of my life, where I felt safe from the ravages of life <br>
Whenever I was sad, scared, uncertain of life
all I needed was you to take me into my arms and I felt safe

When I got married
I didn't cry
Nor did my mom
I knew I was going to the man I love
...

Is abuse only physical
Is it abuse only when scars show?
Or is it also abuse when someone doesn't let you grow
Is it abuse only when you raise your hand to hit?

I have been hurt
I have been pained
I have been ridiculed
And I haven't remain the same
...

I have a life that is as close to perfect
As it can get
I have strived to do my bit to create this perfect life
A devoted bahu, a caring mother, a loving wife
