Lors Dilouley Poems

Oh, what would i say to you now?

i could talk, but i think your smile and
those knowing, glimmering eyes would shut me up.
...

Oh to hear what you want, to know how your soul feels -
upon someone else's brow to rest my own -
my hopes and dreams, my frustrations, my longings and passions,
my stumblings, my insecurities, my heart...
...

The air is balmy down here.
Even at this place I am unwise.
I thought I knew
I thought I heard
...

say my name once more
just let that sweet melodious syrup drip off your lips.
you look stunning when you've just awakened
hair uncombed and untamed.
...

I like to be gentle
more than boisterous.
But i find myself spouting,
shouting
...

So please don't cry
Cause every tear that falls
Is a melancholy melody in my heart.
...

You are jealous
for my affections, for my time, for my thoughts, for my love
but You have it. don't You know?
I have already committed to You.
...

8.

it's hard without his touch
when he loves me so much
and i don't know why
makes me laugh and sigh.
...

Spies the lies of fools.
Can't see past her own fingertips.
but why does she cry?
inspired, but tired.
...

i beseech you
to shout for me
please sing for me
for my voice is strained and my wings are clipped
...

ring around the rosie.
you hand me the posies.
do i look grateful?
as if you would take note.
...

i heard the Lord tell me:

'your ministry will break you.
that which I called you to do will make you hurt.
...

i read your lies.
they seep through my skin straight into my heart
and make me angry.
why do you use such flowery words when
...

Come awake.
Burdens lay on either side of the road
Abandoned, as if something more important
was happening.
...

i thought he was silly
and shifty and small.
not worth the effort,
too skinny, too tall.
...

I throw myself down at Your feet.
So weary, beaten down,
and I am in despair.
...

I err and I err.
And stumble over myself and fall down
allowing myself to cross the line
and live selfishly.
...

you write and then me.
we play each other back and forth
with our banter
and no one quite knows
...

My tongue is a fire
not just with words of anger
but with flowery ones too
words that you want to hear
...

Love And Some Verses

Oh, what would i say to you now?

i could talk, but i think your smile and
those knowing, glimmering eyes would shut me up.

what if i sang to you, i think if you let me hear
a bit of your laughter, my vocal chords would cease to move.

i could write, however, my pen would fall flat
were you to speak but a whisper.

my heart leaps it seeps it reaps
even to read you is a pleasure.

to be near is ecstasy.
and sometimes i wonder in this silly
cockeyed brain of mine,

how would you like me to be, not act
for that is shallow
and we are swimming so deep and deeper still.

because you know that you own me
i can't help it.

if you asked, i would be yours forever
and wish and do wish to remain here with you.

what if one day in passing
i reached out to you.

what if i squeezed your hand
or touched my cheek to your shirt.

what if i grazed my lips against your ear
mouthing, 'i love you my dear.'

what if i became transparent
revealing my secrets and all the markings of my life.

how would you be then? not act
for that is shallow
and we are abiding in the depths.

would you tumble stumble rumble
to tell me the same?

i would if you would.
please?
i'll say it again. and a hundred times more
i love you.
i love you.
