Ten Years

The winds scurry by and it chills my cold hands,
But it matters much none, since I'm here beside you,
The snow covers wide and far all 'cross the land,
But it matters much none, when I'm here beside you,

It's been ten years since I last saw your eyes beam,
Since we cuddled together, and stared at the stars,
It's been ten years since you last shared me your dreams,
Since we last talked of marriage and interlocked arms,

So, I lay here cold, ever-longing you now,
Warmed ever just enough by the love in our souls,
For you, and you only; forever a frau,
I am, and so will be - as my love for you grows,

Your grave marker's old, and your name is worn off,
But it matters much none, since I'm here beside you,
And the six feet of dirt below caves like a trough,
But it matters much none, when I'm here beside you...
