It sounds extremely difficult to imagine, but compared to a geological timeline, our few decades here on this earth are mere seconds to the billions of years the universe has seen.

the little clock chimes.
...tick...tick...tick...
sweat rolls from brows.

you always made me feel alright when you spoke with gentle, kindly words.
you always gave me goosebumps when you told me words of affection.
you always took satisfaction when you saw me flinch at a dirty joke.
you always laugh when you tease me with awful things.
...

Life is never as it seems.
We achive this reality only in dreams.
A heart will only beat as many times as is destined.
As is human's curiosity, this fact is often questioned.
