It's dark and ominous.
Roaring thoughts so numerous
Whispering in my head.
Never ceasing to climb ahead
Of the still pure thoughts within my head.
Wake up,
Wake up you sleepyhead.
Cross on over to the realm of your mind,
Just what is it that you thought was benign.
The loud whispers,
The softest aggression,
The aware depression,
Self-confessions?
It's taken control and now you are gone
Wasted now and up 'til dawn.
Kill your mind that's your solution.
Numb yourself that's my retribution.
Dark and senseless to the core
I couldn't take it anymore,
I tear myself apart.
Put myself back together.
Only to realize that I am tethered,
Ropes and chains they bind me,
Liar, you say, 'I am with thee.'
That was the condition to fear not
To never fear the darkest thought.
But you are absent and I am present,
It is my presence that is eternal torment.
