The sun is shining bright.
But within my soul,
There is black darkness like pure night.

He sits in the corner of the bullpen and watches from afar.
The paid he hides inside drives him to the bar.
I hurt him really badly but I want to make things right.
Would he give me the chance to kiss him tonight?

As I sit here waiting as I'm always accustomed to waiting,
I can't help but think of you.
That smile and those beautiful eyes I could never forget.
As the days go on your memory fades,

Just the way I think.

And they are so diverse.
I hate the air too hot to breathe.
Or the smallness of my purse.

An aspiring writer since age 12, with many poems published through the International Poets Society, she is currently working on her highly anticipated novel, My Cross To Bear. She is engaged to the love of her life of 2 years, David, and plans to be married in Fall 2013. A part time Zumba instructor, she also dedicates her free time to helping stray dogs in any way she can.)

The Unloved
In the outside world,
The sun is shining bright.
But within my soul,
There is black darkness like pure night.
The pain screams loud
But no one can hear me clear.
I begin to wonder,
About my existence here.
What am I doing with him,
If he can't give her up?
I gave him my life,
But apparently it wasn't enough.
Something within me has shut down,
My body's been turned off.
I'm losing my strength,
My mind feels lost.
The deception, the pain,
But he doesn't seem to care.
I feel so betrayed,
What he does isnt fair.
I guess I wasn't good enough,
I guess I loved too much.
Hopefully with Jon,
I'll have better luck.
