A Broken Heart Can Never Mend

I thought it would be an exciting day
The best one of my life
But then it all turned towards the worst
I thought it was all a lie

I cry and cry everynight
Wishing you were here
Everyday I sit through the house
Waiting for you to appear

And when you dont I realize
Not all wishes come true
I wish I could go back in time
But that something I cannot do

Everyday grows longer
More pain and tears occur
I even get a bit stronger
But all the days become a blur

Everyday I reminisce
On all of our great memories
Then I realize what I miss
I just want to talk to you, please

And I no longer can turn to you
When I feel like breaking down
I have to protect myself
And stand on my own steady ground

Because of this, I've become broken
And I can never be repaired
I'll never be in one piece again knowing
That no one will care like you cared
