Kev EmPea Poems

When I hold you in my arms
Everything falls away from our feet
And we stand in space
The starshine dancing in your eyes.
...

Now I hang my head all forlorn
Cos you think my limericks corn
But when I think of the bliss
Of your touch and your kiss
...

When I took the gift of your love
In great big bites
I did not know that I was getting a slice
Of vice and forbidden fruit
...

Our love takes us to an island
on some far untrodden shore
We are the first to re-enter paradise
Free from the suffering which we felt before
...

In case i go where you cannot follow
and life becomes unfair.
Go to the foot of the fell
and remember me there.
...

Sometimes, when I look back I do not dwell at where I fell
But stand and treasure the memory of a sweet gift.
One of silk within silk wrapped up in an old fur coat
And the free & generous spirit which adventured it there.
...

My deep sub-concious is rather capricious
with cruel tempting tortures awaiting the unwary.
It strains the leash to avoid the drip of poison
but the issues that bind defy corrosion.
...

We are all alone, in bed, apart
feeling the heat from a body
Or stuck together with passions honey
Or murmering the words to say we’ll never part
...

I woke to the Blackbirds call and the feel of you lying in my arms
I walked in the woods and the wind in the leaves sighed your love in my ear.
I sat by the brook and listened to your laughter as we played.
The light is brighter, the smells sweeter and the taste of you will linger on my lips.
...

There is fell and dale between you and I tonight
But my body remembers our last touch like a prayer
Murmering in faith i close my eyes to re-taste your kiss
And re-trace on your back that lovely path down
...

Will I always find elation in the byways of your smile
And let my lips linger on your shoulder after ending a weary mile?
Will your honey always excite me, will I bring our backs to dew
And write romance letters to you my love always anon anew?
...

Wandering like Wordsworths cloud
I find myself dreading the next sight
Of your slopes for fear of finding
The rising pressure as I draw closer

Floating high in the chapel I love an Angel there
She smiles that special smile and strokes me with her hair

My World

When I hold you in my arms
Everything falls away from our feet
And we stand in space
The starshine dancing in your eyes.

One long tender kiss
And I’m falling, falling into you
As planets spin about us
The sun radiant in your hair.

As I hold your hand
The silence sings between us
And the Universe expands
With you glowing in my heart.
