Saddened air of silent voices,
of souls departed, but not alone.
Staying close among their homesteads,
no buildings stood that fateful day.

My feet are quite attached to me,
Yet seem so far away,
When I was just a little boy,
My feet were very close you see,

Silent Voices

Saddened air of silent voices,
of souls departed, but not alone.
Staying close among their homesteads,
no buildings stood that fateful day.
The terrible carnage, Cataclysmic Cyclone.
You held them in your powerful rage.

Nature showed its teeth and anger,
Consuming all, no matter what the age,
A young child crying for its mother,
sadness around for all to see.
Help is needed but slow in coming,
What you get, is what you see.

Among the twisted devastation,
A face is fixed, but happy, smiling,
A child calls out,
and is reunited,
the dolly clutched,
in tiny hands.
