Waves And Ripples

A dropp sends a ripple
each wave moving away from its source
time to go somewhere
each wave has its course

Ask the wave where its going
Maybe nowhere, is what you'll be told
Ask the wave, why its moving
It'll answer, I dont know

other ripples, other waves
Crossing paths in this space
colliding and sliding, bumping and lagging
But not sure of its goals

Small waves. big waves
gentle or harsh
Crashing, flowing
worlds apart

soon it will find its destination
and its journey will stop
But will it ever find its way back,
to the place, where it has been first dropped?
