Kate Buxbaum Prado Poems

It only takes one ray of light,
when life can be so cold...
To touch and warm another's heart,
or save a shivering soul.
...

How heavy is the armor you must carry,
to cover up the hidden wounds inside?
Your eyes tell all I need to know about you,
and of the many tears you have cried.
...

We come together sisters of the human race.
Each of a different color, age and place.
Taking time to weave in words,
a quilt of comfort for our own.
...

One small coal left unattended
in a forest rich and green,
spreads quickly burning all before it...
leaving only desolation to be seen.
...

God must have placed a piece of His own heart,
inside each little pet He sends from above.
For unforgiveness and envy they know not,
but only of His unconditional love.
...

Soft fluttering of wings,
their transparent figures standing
on the edge of endless time called eternity,
sleep neither day or night as heavenly guards,
...

There are no words upon the earth,
that can tell of the joy
of a baby's birth.
These miracles sent from heaven above,
...

Your touch so far from mine,
I stop to say word
to keep you safe within God's care.
Distance holds no separation
...
