Karlee Rachelle Poems

These worn shoes
have seen the hardest
times of my life.
The abandonment I've faced,

Six years old
she clung to his legs
begging him to stay.

December 1,2009
Never will I forget that date,
The date I lost my innocence.
Not 15 for even a month yet.

So exhausted.
Mentally weary,
Physically weak.
Life is draining.

Karlee Rachelle Biography

I'm a teenage girl, trying to make it through high school. My dad isn't a part of my life. I have a constant struggle with depression. Abandonment is my biggest fear, and that fear controls my life. You may think a teenager doesn't know what love is, but I know that's not true. I have fallen in love and we both walked away broken hearted. I will always love him, and that's where many of my poems come from: the never ending pain in my heart. Trying to find myself in this crazy world is near impossible, but I will keep trying.)

The Longest Miles

These worn shoes
have seen the hardest
times of my life.
The abandonment I've faced,
the mistakes I've made,
the tears I've cried,
and the prices I've paid.
These worn shoes
have walked
the longest miles of my life.
