Joshua Nnachi Poems

I looked with blinding eyes at a white flower wilting
Then I remembered your name dying on my lips.

These tiny droplets of salty rain remind me I have been a dry land;
...

You might have no food
Money
Clothes
Houses...
...

Again, these moments haunt me
A solemn smell of weedy sin
Smoking with forgiveness, and petulance.
...

4.

A deathless seedling
Sprouting from the womb of Earth:
The sun will spot you.
...

Mother:
A golden ray of sunness;
In you I see seven thousand reasons to live.
...

I'm a nesting bird in flight bearing dreams of tomorrow
Coursing through deafening winds with wings aright
Blinding ghoulish orbs, keen as knights, still as night
...

Don't pretend; you feel the pains
That supreme bloodflow
Surging through your veins.
...

1.
i'm passing through this path again
where we stopped to look each other in the eyes.
we smiled, seeing something different in them.
...

The world's not always black or white
For the sky lies so wildly, so wide
And we birds fly to and fro
...

Just in my little pony friendship
(Zephyr's whisper soft and chilly)
Dancing to my keyboard's tunes
(I sit at the backyard, bare-skinned)
...

Walking the dog of my past,
I fear the silent path will prey me.

I wonder why I'm so terrified,
...

A pair of eyes wink at each other, far apart;
Two sins willing to be committed...

Two devils are sneaking around in the garage
...

Ka m na aga n'okporo ụzọ eche echiche oge gara aga (dịkwa ka mụ na nkịta m so aga) ,
Anam atụ egwu na ihe ọjọọ ga biakwute m na mberede.

Aghotakwa gị m ihe mere egwu ji a tụ m nke ukwuu,
...

'ts only imaginary:
Staring at the starry sky,
All I think is you.
...

Lost names of a fallen tribe
Trapped in a puddle of tears.
They trickle down the dewy horns of Earth, dressed in dirges.

The Best Poem Of Joshua Nnachi

I Miss You

I looked with blinding eyes at a white flower wilting
Then I remembered your name dying on my lips.

These tiny droplets of salty rain remind me I have been a dry land;
But how can I block the harsh sun
From shrinking the tender flower,
When all I can do is water it with tears?
