we have not been sons of light

Six Winged Angel

six winged angel
angel of death over his dead body
remember me for this
remember that at I shouted at the heart of
the world
I'm living
I'm still alive after this

remember all those faces that smiled at you
remember all the laughs shared with those that love you
remember all the friends from a life before that you didn't live
I shout that I'm still here
I'm still here and I'm alive

dying in a field in the desert
hands made of blood

come to this place on my hillside
come to this place under this tree of mine
watch me on this bridge
with fear and horror
fear and death at crossing
the bridge that burns
with cars on fire
and the smell of charred flesh fresh in the air
this is where I stuttered,
this is where I faltered
I turned back in fear,

six winged angel over my dead body
hands made of death

I will cross for you
my god I will cross for you
I've swam till blue
ran till the desert sun burned me
she doesn't know me
she doesn't know this
for her before you and time before this
there will be illumination

dying in a field in the desert
hands made of hell

six winged angel
angel of death over his dead body
I scream at the heart of men
I am the Lord of the Flies
I'm still living
still alive after this
