Jim Mascia Poems

I cried last Christmas for you.
I knew it was the last.
All alone in this room.
Your presence in the past.
...

You're losing reception now.
I'm fading out fast.
The static is taking over.
Hope you find something new that can last.
...

Grab a second out of time
With precision down the center.
Oh boy, you've got a find
And now you may enter.
...

The closest I can get to you is in my dreams.
But that's still to far away.
Since you've gone I haven't been the same.
What a price to pay.
...

I saw you there last night.
We hid in the shadows.
While they watched with my eyes.
We fought the dream's battles.
...

Your Presence In The Past

I cried last Christmas for you.
I knew it was the last.
All alone in this room.
Your presence in the past.
We only got a taste of it.
Didn't open all the way.
Now the pain is a weight
on my heart to stay.
The decorations don't hang here.
If they did the pain would be severe.
Wonder what you're doing
This time of year.
